Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a good weekend! I'll be doing a weekend recap soon. Ours was wonderful! First though....
On The Today Show this morning, there was a story about a couple who did IVF. It was successful and the lady got pregnant. However, the fertility clinic implanted another couple's embryos. WHAT?!?!! Yes, the worst possible thing that could have probably happen to this couple desperately wanting a child. Why was this so terrible for the couple? They have to give the baby to it's biological parents. She had the option to terminate the pregnancy or essenitally be a surrogate. Thankfully, she carried the baby and is now 35 weeks pregnant. The story was just so sad because the couple seemed completely heart broken. They are certain the worst has yet to come. They believe when the labor happens and they have to say hello and goodbye will be unimaginable. I cannot imagine. Luckily, the Savages have 3 other kids. They also have 5 frozen embroys. However, with Carolyn's health issues, this will be the last child she can carry. Due to the family's beliefs, they will not destroy the embroys. They have contracted to have a surrogate themselves in the future.

That is so sad...I cant even imagine what that family is going through.
oh my goodness, I couldn't even imagine! what a brave family, hope they'll be blessed for their courage and beliefs. Glad you had a great weekend and hope you have a wonderful day!

I saw this this morning too and just cried and cried for them. I cannot possibly imagine! heartbreaking...

I saw that this morning as well and I couldn't believe it. I also couldn't believe what a strong and amazing couple they were towards the whole situation. I hope the surrogate works out for them and they can get another baby.
this same thing was on an episode of private practice once. crazy.

Clearly I am a full fledged attorney now as my first thought wasn't "oh how awful" but "oooh heellllooo law suit!". I am awful.
But seriously, what a horrible horrible screw up!!! Those poor people!

P.S. This happened on Day of Our Lives a few years ago. I know it's not EVEN close to being the same but I couldn't stop thinking about the Days episodes.
That's such a sad story but I'm a firm believer that everything happens for reason.
