Things I am thankful for... on Thursday :)

howdy :) So this title might be a way for me not to include the word "random" ;) However, these are very much things I am currently thankful for :)

I.LOVE.CAPRESE.SALAD. Basil (from my yard), fresh mozzarella & Roma tomatoes, salt & pepper, EVOO & sometimes balsamic. This is pretty much my favorite lunch. I have made it twice this week. I snapped this pic...

This is Method Granite Cleaner and it is THE BEST. It leaves no streaks and cleans great! It is by far the best thing I have ever used on granite. Since we did not build our house, our kitchen has granite tile. It would not be our choice but we are simply thankful it is granite. Method is non-toxic and "green"...yay :)

I am SO very thankful for these... They are wireless TV earphones. Why am I thankful....

No, this is not hubby and I but this picture explains our situation perfectly! I can sleep with the TV on but I cannot FALL asleep if I can hear it at all. My parents got hubby a set of hear phones and we both love them! He wore them last night as I was drying my hair as well.

I am thankful that September is here! This means fall & football! I LOVE this time of year! I love having a get together for game watching or even going to a few. College Football starts today. This is the stadium for my team of choice, The Arkansas Razorbacks :)

Are you all salad dressing people? Girard's Light Champagne dressing MIGHT be my favorite. It is DELISH and not bad for you at all!

I know I have stated this before but I LOVE flowers. I am so thankful for them because they make me happy and well, a house happy :) Thank you, God. (These are crate myrtles from our back yard)

Yes, I have also mentioned Maggie Moo's before...If you haven't gone.....if you haven't had BETTER BATTER...go, go now. It is unbelievable! Last night hubby and I had his dad and his dad's girlfriend over for dinner. We made stuffed peppers and they liked them! After, we went to Maggie's. :) Yes, it is another place that is only .4 miles from our house.

I got Better Batter with Heath Bar in it.
I got a large. Don't judge. I hadn't had it in like what seemed to be an eternity!
hubby :) Better Batter & Butterfinger
These are dangerous.

Of course, like every day, I am also thankful for hubby, my family, friends & you all :)

Thank you all for your opinions and advice on my previous post regarding our guest bedroom! I like hearing what you think! I will post the rest once it is completed.

I want to get better at Twittering and labeling. Why can I not remember to label things in my posts? I still have old ones to go back and do as well. Twitter is located on my cell phone and I still forget to push one little button to get on it. I am going to aim to get better per my mother-in-laws request!

Something else I have been thinking about is whether or not I should talk about a picture below the picture or above. I know I've pondered on this before. I go back and forth. I even tried doing below for a while and felt like I didn't like it. I still question above though. I know some of you do below and some of you do above. I guess it is just preference! Is it ever hard or confusing while reading my posts?

My friend, Jen, just got back from her vacay to Greece so hopefully I'm going to lunch with her today! She has been gone for like 16 days and I have missed her!

We don't have any plans for Labor Day. That is perfectly fine with us! I'm sure we will spend time with each other, friends & family :)

happy thursday :) ~ Megan

That ice cream looks delicious! By the way I believe we have the same plate pattern - love it!

We need a set of the headphones at our house.

That's so funny about to where to talk about a picture below or above in a post. I go back and forth too. I kind of think that you see the picture first make your ideas about what is going on then read what the blogger has to say about it. I just try to make sure there is enough space in between pictures and text to not get confusing.

But then sometimes spacing and pictures is so aggrevating in blogger!

So there's my two cents for ya! : )

Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend!

That salad looks delicious! Is there anything better than fresh mozzarella?

Also I absolutely love that vase that your gorgeous flowers are in!

I think that I change around with my pictures, but usually write below them. Hmmm...now I'm not sure!

Your captions are not confusing, though, I always understand which picture they belong to!

First, I just have to say - what a beautiful picture of you & your husband! This is my first time visiting your blog and I was immediately struck by how darn good looking you two are!

I'm so impressed that you grow your own basil. I'd love to do that - I use basil all the time. Any tips? I'm worried I'd kill it.

So many good recommendations in this post. I have to try the Method Granite Cleaner - I use 409 on our countertops but it takes so much work to keep them from streaking! The dressing sounds yummy too. It's so hard to find tasty light dressings.

Great blog - I'll be back!

Ohh, yummy! I heart caprese as well... a staple in our household throughout the year, but it's particularly tasty in the summer!

That salad looks completely yummy! And my dad uses those headphones and my mom gets much more rest now! I would be the one who wore them in our home though, I watch much more TV than Luke, its pretty sad. We don't have any plans for the holiday weekend either! I wish we lived closer and we could hang out!

I love that salad photo!!! Lately I have wanted any and all things tomato. It's getting ridic. You ever crave items like that? Gah, I do.

Those headphones are AWESOME. I dated a guy once and we had that issue.. and it almost broke us up! haha.. I needed silence to sleep. He needed television.

I wrestle with the captions above/below the pics, too.. but I think your always makes sense and is easy to follow so I wouldn't fret. :)

I am SO excited for football season!!! I'll help you root for Arkansas as long as you root on TU tomorrow!!! :) Ya'll should totally head to a TU game this year! They're super cheap (b/c hello.. it's TU...) but they're fun!! :)

Have a great labor day weekend!!! Sending internet hugs from across town!

What great things to be thankful for! I love the headphone thing you two have going on! ha. But it is really a great idea! And about the magazine thing....I am so sorry you didn't get the deals! I honestly think they were only running for like 48 hours. :( I'll let you know if I see them go on sale again. Have a great weekend!
