Some Catching up...

Hi all :) Friday is here! yay :)

This week, as I've mentioned, has been rather hectic. Painful in a few ways and a few nice times, too. I've not really been a great blogger as my mind has been else where. I'm not working today so I thought I'd do a post to play catch up. Someday, I'm going to print this blog off into a book, so, I will continue to have it as my weekly journal...with pictures!

Monday - Hubby worked in the yard and I worked in the house! For dinner, hubby and I, along with his parents went to his sister's house. Here are a few pics I snapped...
Here I am with my potatoes hubby requested I make to take to dinner on Monday. I like the shirt I am wearing but it is NOT very complimenting!! No recipe really for the potatoes but I talked about them here.
I know I am a huge dork. It was Labor Day...so we took a pic? haha

After dinner I had bath time with these cuties!

She likes me to wrap her in a towel like a baby burrito and then after she is dressed still!

Tuesday - Back to work! I also went to a new dermatologist. I feel like there is hope. He was excellent and seemed so very astonished and interested in my "skin issue". He thinks it is one of three things. He cut a piece off of my hand to send off for biopsy. It felt fine for a few hours. Then, it started hurting SO bad to use my hand! After work, hubby had his fantasy football draft at his parents. I went with Cameron and Tallee to see....
I thought it was very cute! The movie as a whole was a pretty different style but it was unique. I liked it!

On Tuesday night, hubby and I watched Conan and Kate Beckinsale was on! I've talked about my love for Kate Hudson and Kate Beckinsale. She was really so funny. Hubby and I were both laughing.

Wednesday - I woke up with my hand still hurting pretty bad. Hubby said I even cried out a few times in my sleep! I have had many skin biopsies over the past 15 years and they've never really hurt. So, I call the nurse and she says to come in because it shouldn't be hurting. When I get there, she says "well the doctor said sometimes when he cuts deep and the stitches are deep, its going to hurt." GREAT. So doc came in and looked at it to make sure it was good. He was very apologetic for the pain and said he should have just given me pain medication yesterday. Well, I hate pain medicine. They gave me a script and I got it filled. I never took any. The stitches are on the top of my hand on my pinky knuckle. It's felt a little better each day.
For those medical people out there who want to see..here is the pain on my hand...

After lunch Wednesday, my bf called with the sad news of her dad passing. Immediate heart break. I'm so sad for her. I can't wait to see her and give her a hug. I've talked to her several times. I've also had many people call/text me to let me know they are thinking of her and wanting to do anything they can. She is quite loved!

Wednesday night we went to Morgan & Curt's again for dinner. They had some piece of meat the boys had discussed on Monday. So, we had steaks. It was raining big time Wednesday night! Here are the girls in their cute gowns...what are they looking at ?
hubby...with their lady bug umbrella..pulling the grill under the patio

Thursday(yesterday) - A very rainy day again. No motivation to do anything. It is HARD for me to work in rain. I did pick up my sunglasses. They are all fixed. Thursday night, I met a few girls at the Bistro (yes, hubby and I ate there on Sunday night, too) to have a meeting about Morgan's baby shower. The shower is next weekend and I can't wait! It is going to be lots of fun :)

Firday - TODAY :) The bad part about today is it is 9/11. I cannot help it. Hormones or not, I ALWAYS cry when watching ANYTHING about 9/11. It just breaks my heart in half all over again for everyone involved as victims. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I got news on the TV. I think we all will remember, forever. I went to NYC two times before the attack. I got to see the big towers. I've been many times since and sometimes I still think how it is so weird not to see them when we're flying in. The first time going to ground zero, I felt physically sick. Anyways, prayers to all families involved or that lost a loved one!!!

I'm actually sitting here watching the Today show this morning. I'm not working today which is VERY nice :) I need some relaxing time! Hubby and I have a few things going on this weekend. I hope the weather becomes nice. It has been gloomy ALL week long!

Something good to know, the town in which I live has been voted the #1 city to live and raise a family for THREE years in a row! How cool is that? I love this town.

I hope you all have had a good week!! Enjoy you're weekend :) I should have a few posts over the weekend!

xoxo ~ Megan

Ok...so the top is really cute and doesn't look bad on you at all. I can see how you'd feel "wide" in it though. I'm the same way :-P Kate Beckinsale is adorable, I love her too. Hope you have a great day off & a fabulous weekend.

I had an incision on the inside of my wrist with identical stitches, and my experience was the same...no pain at first and then it was surprisingly excrutiating. I hope you feel better!

Thanks for the New York love! I love that photo of the celebration of lights you posted. I can see the light in the skky from my house on a clear night. It's really touching. :)

I'm so sorry about your friend's loss. :( My father passed away when I was younger and hate watching my friends go through the death of a parent. Also sorry about your hand, lovely. I really hope they get that figured out sooner than later. :( I love your positive attitude despite having a somewhat trying week. Sending blog love from across town. :)
