*Update* - I got a text from Emily about 7am this morning (Friday) and Cate will be born today! Rachel will also be having baby Bree! Please keep them all in your prayers!
First of all, THANK YOU all again for the sweet comments regarding my hysterosonogram! I am still waiting for the results. I am also thankful that there are people emailing me asking me questions about my situation, their situation and everything in between. I hope that I can give advice, comfort or answer questions! Now, I know I should not hesitate to post things because in the end people always seem to somehow relate. I appreciate your prayers.
I liked Lindsey's post today regarding replying to comments. Sometimes I reply by email but not everyone's comments are set up to get email feedback and they simply don't get replies. Check out her tutorial!
In other news, am I the last person to know about the self snapping iPhone pic? In other words, this is my iPhone. I accidentally took this picture...with my iPhone. I had no idea how I did this. After playing around for a bit, I figured it out! You hold the center bottom button and quickly hit the on/off button on the top right of the phone. It does the screen shot of whatever you are looking at. Cool huh? Sorry if you all know abut this already...My friend Tallee and I kept saying we were going to take an iPhone class but we never did!
While at the store today, I got this...
It is a book of fun Halloween things! Is anyone else as READY for fall & Halloween as I am??
I can't wait to make more of these...I also can't wait to use my bunch bowl that I got last year!
with dry ice....
Tuesday night, I made these...
I know they look very similar to the ones I made here. They are not. Jessica made these one time at her house and I loved them. I had her send me the recipe so I could make them for hubby and I. They are quite different. I REALLY like these. The other ones were good but I think these will be my favorite. They have a bit of a sweet flavor and as I mentioned yesterday, I love sweet/salty mix.
Starting to prepare..
The mix on the stove..
I usually eat a bit of the stuff out of the top of the pepper and then cut my pepper up and mix everything together.
Here is the recipe...I changed a few things. I used ground turkey instead of beef. I already had turkey. I knew I had an onion at home but didn't realize it was purple until I got home...it was still delish! I also didn't add the entire portions of all the ingredients. I was only make two peppers. So, I added more of the things we love :)
Stuffed Peppers
Ground beef
1 bag of boil in a bag rice
5 red bell peppers
1 green bell pepper
1/2 large yellow onion
1/4 c of peppercinis
1 1/2 c of peas
Landry's seasoning salt
Cavender's seasoning
Olive oil
Salt
Pepper
Boil 4 of the red peppers til soft, about 30 mins.
Chop the onion, the 1 raw red pepper, green pepper, and peppercinis. Sauté in oil olive til tender. Set aside.
Brown the meat in olive oil. Season with landry's, cavenders, and salt & pepper to taste.
While cooking the meat boil the rice.
When the meat is cooked add the sautéd veggies, rice, and peas. Mix.
Add a little bit of the juice from the peppercini jar. Add a bit of sugar to make the mixture slightly sweet.
Cut off the tops of the boiled red peppers and drain. Remove insides and place upright in a glass baking dish.
Fill the peppers with the ice mixture and drizzle olive oil on top. Replace the proper lids.
Put a bit of water in the bottom of the baking dish and cover with foil.
Bake at 350 for about 20 mins.
You all should REALLY try them! Enjoy!
I love when Elton lays like this... I caught him this morning...he is so sweet...
Dear Nuva Ring,
For the past two months I took an oral birth control. I have now been using you for about a week. While I do think you are MUCH better than an oral birth control, I would appreciate it if you would STOP making my face break out. I already have enough skin issues going on. Pimples and bumps are never something I have had to deal with and I would really like for it to stay that way. I hope that the face breakage is simply you doing your job. Perhaps it is my body saying, I'm ready to STOP taking birth control. I do believe that is the case. Anyways, I've now eaten salmon two nights in a row so please let the omegas work to help counteract what you are doing to my face. Thank you and have a lovely, non-bitchy day.

You know what I am wanting? ...some cute plaid shirts for fall. I have a few I got last year. They really seem to be everywhere and I need some! Perhaps they'll never go "out" of style..I saw this one at Target. It is only $15. It seems to be a bit long and I don't know about short sleeves..but something to this effect. I could wear with leggings or jeans.
This weekend is going to be a busy one! Tomorrow my parents are coming! :) That is always exciting. My brother is moving into a new apartment. Tomorrow night, we are going to a surprise birthday party. Saturday, we get to see the Mentzel's! VERY excited :) Saturday night, we are going to a going away/glad you're here party. One of our friends is moving to NYC and our good friends Emily & Jason are in town visiting from China. Luckily, everyone is friends so it is a joint party! I got to have lunch with Emily on Monday. Her sweet lil one, Jack, is so cute and she is also expecting!
Told you this was random..can't help it :)
I hope everyone is having a GREAT week! Any fun plans for the weekend??

Thanks for the comment on my post! I'm in love with your Halloween stuff!
I have no fun Halloween stuff, but you are inspiring me!
On another note, I am really glad that your procedure is done and that the technician thinks everything looks good. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that you receive some positive news from the doctor soon.
That food looks YUM! I might have to try it!
That food looks YUM! I might have to try it!
I love stuffed peppers! My husband has a recipe he makes, but I might need to steal this one and try it!
Have a great weekend :)
Love stuffed peppers!
I tried the NuvaRing. It lasted not even a whole month. It came out after... well you know and I never had a clue! I mean I felt it when inserting it. You would think the same would be true when it comes out! I now have the Mirena IUD or IUC. I love it!! It's the best birth control.
And I totally think plaid shirts are it this fall. I already bought one from Forever 21.
Have a great weekend!
I love Halloween!!!! And that shirt! I think I got one similar at forever 21 or target. I can't remember which store I got mine from.
I'm excited about that Halloween book/magazine that you got! I'll have to keep my eyes open for it - hopefully I can get it in Canada.
I know what you mean about the plaid shirts, I've been seeing them everywhere. I even tried one on but I looked a little too farmeresque (haha is that a word?) so I didn't get it. I'm going to try again though because I think they are pretty cute!
Ooo...I love fun halloween stuff too!!! Have a great weekend, sounds like you're going to be super busy (just like us)!
I am SO ready for Fall. It's been over 100 here for forever it seems, and I'm just ready to be able to wear something other than flip flops and tank tops!!
I had no idea about the scr shot thing on the iphone! Thanks for sharing!
That punch bowl is soooo cute!
I have been on the hunt for a cute plaid shirt, but haven't come across one that I love yet. Let me know if you find one.
That shirt is adorable! It would totally work for fall in Ga seeing as how it never really gets too hot here. At least not for a while!!
That punch bowl is too cute!
Love all the halloween stuff!
Love your Halloween punch bowl! I'm also loving all the plaid clothes coming out everywhere, and I'm hoping they'll stick around for a little while!
I love that plaid shirt and yes I am ready for fall!! Being in houston, I was ready 2 months ago!! I got that same magazine in the store the other day!! Have you seen the better homes and garden one? Look for it next time you are in, it's good and I think you would like it! BTW, I just love you and your blog, you leave me the sweetest comments!
