My New Ring

So if you have been reading for a while, you can recall that I had an accident at the end of May involving my hand and finger. Particularly, it involved my ring finger. It resulted in the doctor having to cut my engagement and wedding ring off :( You can see the pics here. A week or two after, I went to see about getting my rings repaired. While at the doctors office, she encouraged me to explore other options besides platinum if possible. It doesn't bend. That is why it had to be cut off after my hand and finger got broken. It was a very painful and unpleasant experience.

Platinum was quite expensive when hubby bought it. To fix it was going to be very expensive as well. Well, what if I broke my hand again? What if someone were to slam my finger in a car door? What if, what if? If something were to happen, I'd have to go through cutting off and repairing costs, again. I went to a guy that specializes in creating settings. After talking to him about repairing it, hubby and I discussed it and we decide I would switch to white gold. The style of my rings were exactly the same as my moms except hers are gold and her engagement band is thick. It is what I always liked, and hubby got mine made with platinum when he decided to propose. So I thought, someday she will pass hers along to me then I would have a silver one and a gold one...that were almost exactly the same. Then, someday when I pass hers and mine along, again they would be very similar. So, I decide to change mine up :) I used my engagement diamond and put it in a different setting. I immediately fell in love with a setting. Hubby agreed it was so very beautiful as well :)

Well I didn't really think we should spend the money on it right now so I had just been wearing some rings my mom gave me. Saturday hubby told me he was taking me to get it :) I LOVE IT! It feels like he just proposed again and blessed me with something beautiful to represent our love :) I've been thanking him non-stop. I hope this ring lasts the rest of our life..aka, the rest of our marriage :) Thank you honey. I LOVE YOU!

I will not keep you in suspense any longer! I always see such fun pictures that my mother-in-law photographs of her bride's rings. I'm not even close to a photographer. However, since I have yucky rash on my hands, I thought I would try to take some pretty pics of the ring. Here they are :)
