Happy Monday everyone :) Happy August as well.... I still cannot believe it is August!
Hope you all had a good weekend. Ours was nice and relaxing :)
Friday night we had dinner and cocktails at some friends house. Kristen & Judd had us for yummie Zio's Italian food...very nice of them!
Saturday hubby played golf with his half brother. They are trying to get another week or two in before football season starts up! I went and hung out at my friend Jennifer's house. Her and Tallee had a garage sale. Jen had a home decor store and closed it. Therefore, she had LOTS and LOTS of things to sell! So much that they are going to have the sale again this coming weekend! I'm sure I will go back..perhaps buy a few more things.. These are a few of the items I purchased on Saturday. I didn't picture all because a few I will be giving as gifts.
This is what I got...
-I got a Riguad Candle in Cariacou. It smells wonderful. Riguad scents have been around for a LONG time and came from France. I remember by grandmother's house having something by Riguad but this was my first candle to buy.
-I got a Dayna Decker candle in Lelia. I've had a Dayna candle before and love them.
(Jill, speaking of candles last week...check these out if you come across them!)
-I got two Daub & Bauble hand soaps. I currently have Toracco Orange & Clove soap and lotion. They smell great! I bought Sorrento Lemon & Ginger and a Mission Fig and Thyme one because I loved the way they smell too!
-The clear glass object can be used as a vase or glass. I got one so I'm using it as a vase or maybe to put make-up brushes in it!
-The silver object can be a candle holder or vase depending on which end is up :)
This is my Daub & Bauble soap & lotion at my sink..
Saturday night, hubby and I watched Lucy for a few hours :) She was so fun! She played with us and she is really starting to crawl around! I bet she will be walking pretty soon! I forgot my camera but I snapped this pic with my iphone when she fell asleep. So sweet. Actually, all the pics on this post were taken with my phone. We were in bed by 10:45 Saturday night. It was nice!
Sunday I went to Target. That place gets me into trouble but I absolutely love it. I then sat on our back porch and started this....
I am not very far into but let me tell you, I CANNOT wait to see the movie!! EVERY time the preview comes on I get very giddy! It comes out August 14th and I hope to see it on that day. Hubby and I have an honestly open obsession for Rachel McAdams...she is awesome.
Hubby did a good deed Sunday and mowed his sister's lawn. He also went with his dad to pick a new mower. Sunday afternoon, I met with some girls to talk about Morgan's baby shower (reminder, Morgan is my sis-in-law). I'm very excited about the shower! This is her first boy and it is going to be so fun! We are doing a football theme! Of course, I will be posting pictures :) Sunday night, hubby and I hung out at his parents and had the most delicious carrot cake I have ever put in my mouth. It is still haunting me today as the pieces (well half of them) are sitting on my counter. I tried not to take any home. Then, I tried not eat any of them. That clearly didn't work. I will be working on getting the recipe!
Hubby's mom gave me a copy of Lightroom 2. It is a program for editing pictures. However, our "ancient" powerbook G4 will not accept the program. It doesn't have enough power or memory..or something to run it. I'm going to try the old Lightroom and see if it will work. We need a new computer but that probably won't happen for a little bit! I'm also hoping to get a camera lense soon.
Labels - I decided to start labeling my posts! I debated on this a while back but never did it. I find myself referencing back to my blogs every now and then and I just figured it would be a bit easier if I had labels in them. So, if for some reason you are curious, I've listed them out to the side. I'm working on going back and adding them in my old posts. That could take a little while.
The other day, hubby asked me how I felt about going to NYC for a weekend and just eating at our favorite places. Um, yes please! Remember this post? Yes, he has all our favorites memorized. He then threw his Papaya King shirt on Elton..
So, maybe we will go to NYC soon :) We'll see!
This weekend I had a lot of people ask me about my blog! It kind of feels weird that more and more people in my every day life are reading. I don't mind though. A lot of them (you) may know about a lot of the things I post, but I like posting my every day ramblings, too. So, welcome if you want to hear them all :)
I hope everyone's week started out to a good start!

Oh I cannot wait to see the movie! I love reading the books before the movie too, but I'm taking an online Literature class right now that takes up all of my reading-for-pleasure time. So I might have to skip right to the movie! You'll have to let us know how the book is though!

NY is amazing, you really should go, it is so much fun and a great place to see! What fun gifts you received and the doggie and baby picture are just priceless. :)

On the waiting list for the book! Can't wait to read it!
I cried for a couple of hours at the end of that book...sigh!
Even the darn previews make me emotional.
Trip to NYC soon?!? Sign me up!!!
And I also have a mild obsession with Rachel McAdams. Is it weird that she's basically the only celebrity that I would be excited to meet?! Ok. That's not true, but I would actively look for her and only her!!
