Here are some of the dresses and things you all have asked me about! A lot of the time, I reply to people when I get the email telling me they've left a comment. However, I didn't realize not everyone gets email replies when I send them. So, sorry if it seems like I've ignored you guys. I always try to answer any questions that I get asked! If you ask something in a comment and don't get a reply though email or comment, just email me! My email is located on the right side of my page.
I have always been a dress girl. I like jeans but I go through phases. I honestly haven't bought a pair of jeans in years....like since Paige jeans first came out and I worked at a boutique in college that sold them. Dresses though, I LOVE dresses. They are cute and comfy :)
I buy dresses anywhere I find a cute one....local boutiques, Target, Dillards, Nordstrom, TJ Maxx, Forever 21 & any online place are the most frequents. I'm definitely a bargain shopper so I very rarely pay full price for something unless it is at a good price to begin with or of it is one I just CANNOT live without. I don't know if this will always be the case, but I can still wear some of the dresses I wore in high school. Some of them I got rid of because they weren't classics and of course some just weren't things I would wear now. So, I like to think of dresses as investments because if I take care of them, I can wear them for years! Some of the ones you see me in may be several years old but maybe you can find them online if you look hard enough.
If its a certain brand, you will probably know where to find it .. for example.."Limited" is from the Limited. If it's not a specific store brand, I would google it because I more than likely got it from TJ Maxx or a department store.
SO! The seersucker dress from the 4th of July is made by "Criss Cross".. I got it at a local boutique! I love the pockets!
The swimsuit ruffled bandeau top is A.B.S.My black long halter maxi dress is from the Limited
I didn't have a good picture of this dress close up. It has eyelet on it. It is "B.Darlin"
This one shoulder dress is "Phoebe Couture" by Kay Unger
This white strapless dress also had eyelet on it and it is empire. It is also from the Limited.
The ruffled top is from Forever 21.I do have wild and crazy here. I have a LOT of hair. I change shampoos all the time. I'm currently using.

In other girly news (and these two things aren't near as fun as the above), my car is in the shop :( Yesterday, it was acting up. I'd park and try to start it and it would act like it wanted to start but just would not. I would try a few times and it would finally start up. Then, I get to a MAJOR intersection by a big hospital and stop at a stop light...it DIES! What do I do? That has never happened. Yes, I'm an emotional basket case. No one is stopping to help. Two lights have gone by and I have my hazzards on. I call my dad crying hysterically. "Megan, I live in Texas"....yes I know but what do I do? can I call the police? "No, you cannot call the police for a car not starting honey. Call your brother"...so I call my brother and right about that time it starts up. Well instead of driving it right to a shop I park it somewhere else. Needless to say, it had to be picked up and taken to a shop by a wrecker. I'm waiting to hear what is going on with it. Only a girl I'm guessing would cry when her car stops in the middle of the road?
Speaking of being of the female species....I HATE BIRTH CONTROL. PERIOD. As I mentioned it is mostly better than menopause but some aspects..not so much. I don't have weird cravings but I want to EAT ALL THE TIME..I want mexican food at 9am...and I just sit and think about food. This...not okay. Then, when I eat (anything) I sit around in constant nausea on the brink of barfing. This isn't it, I AM SO IRRITABLE! I hate it. I can feel it taking me over as soon as it happens. I feel as though I could just last out and be a TOTAL bitch..then, when I control it, I feel like I'm being fake?! What the crap. Sorry, for the rant. It will all be worth it..hopefully! Birth control you better be helping in our baby making process!!!!
I do love being a girl though. I am a girly girl :)
Hope you all are having a good week!!

I love those dresses, and I love how you don't pay full price and find them on sale!

Umm, is that David Cook in the photo with you in the limited white eyelet dress? If not, it sure does look like him!!
I am also a total dress girl. Thanks for sharing.
I'm having one of those weeks where I want to eat everything. Like Mexican at 9am! YUM!
Darn.. my favorite dress you got at a local boutique ;) By the way.. I loved this "girly" post! I hate birth control too and I would absolutely cry if my car broke down in the middle of the road! hehe.. I understand ;)
Yay, thank you for sharing about your dresses! And I would have totally cried and freaked out if my car died like that. I am not good in those kinds of situations!
Our furnace (which is in a closet inside the house) caught on fire last year and my husband told me to call 911 while he went to the neighbors to get a fire extinguisher and I was so freaked out that I called my dad and asked him what we should do and he yelled at me to call 911!
My car once died while I was crossing 4 lanes of traffic and I bawled my eyes out so I totally know how you feel!!!
I love that you told us where all your dresses are from. You always look so cute! And I TOTALLY feel you on the birth control thing.I HATE it, it makes me mean, irritable, hungry, sick to my stomach. Some people think I am crazy when I tell them this. Glad you understand (but not glad you have to go through all of that craziness)
You are way too cute. Thanks for the dress ideas! I just bought some from Forever 21 online and am so excited to get 'em!
And you don't sound nuts about birth control...it can be a real bitch, not you! :)
birth control sucks. poor megs! hopefully it'll be over soon and then you'll be thinking about what kind of cute dresses you'll be buying your sugar plum when she gets here! and sophie LOVES your dresses ... every time i'd scroll down, she'd say OOOOOHHHH PIDDDDDDYYY!!!! (ooh, pretty!) she's a dress girl too. so you're some major inspiration for her (and her mama!)!
Ahh... I love dresses too. You're right, they're so comfy! Thanks for the dress tips.
I've never in my life been on birth control. No wait, I was in high school but I sucked at taking it so I never had any of those problems.. but I've heard it happens a lot! I'm sorry hon...
And I totally called my Dad once when my car broke down and he said the SAME thing.. "Megan, I'm in Maryland?!" I'm like, I know!! But I need help!! I love being a Daddy's girl =) I would have been sweating bullets if my car stopped in traffic..
those dresses are adorable! I am definitely a dress girl too. The girls I babysit today actually asked me if I own jeans, haha. I mean I've watched them forever and I know they have seen me in jeans but they just see me wear dresses all the tiem :)
I love all the dresses! They're all really pretty (especially the Kay Unger one)! I also love your blog design!
Thanks for the dress tips! I ALWAYS love what you're wearing!!!!! :O)
Love ya, girl!
I would have freaked out about the car situation too! As for the birth control issue, I wonder if another kind would be better for you? My sister tried 3 different ones before she found one that was good for her -- didn't make her nauseous, etc. Good luck.
oh megs... those last two paragraphs cracked me up!! I'm sorry though, because you were ranting about bad things... but I can't just hear and see you saying and doing those things! like called your dad, "pumpkin, i'm in texas" hahaha!
i would have freaked out too though!
looooove you!!
IF i was your TINY size :) i would come raid your closet!! love these dresses!
You have such great taste!
Megan...you're so cute! And normal!
My two teen girls and I are huge fans of dresses too. We shop like crazy for the cutest ones out there. I totally understand the love of them.
Also...the birth control crazies? I could NOT take that feeling. Maybe that's why hubby and I have 3 kids (all teens now). Haha.
Hang in there.....it has to get better.
Oh....after you're finished having babies....I recommend hubby see a doctor!?!! No more wacky from the pill! It's a huge help! :)
Sorry if that sounded too TMI!
you know i am a dressoholic haha! love them all girl!
LOVE the dresses.
And the car... umm, I would probably cry too. It would be scary, for one thing! I would have no idea what to do!! LOL
I love your dresses and your style! I love shopping at the Limited, one of my favs! YOu look so pretty in all of these!

Very cute dresses! I'm the same way, not a big jeans fan...
And holy crap! That is SO david Cook, it has to be! Very cool.
By the way...I am such a biolage fan! That's what I use and I swear it has transformed my hair! I love it!
