Wknd Recap :) (pt 1: concert, meeting bloggy friends, wedding preview & a bridal shower)

I feel like being busy on the weekends is quite a blogging break. Infact, I start to miss it come Sunday night...I'm just too tired to upload pics!

To say I was busy this weekend is probably an under statement...
Thursday - I had a shot and instead of laying in bed..I made myself get up and go to a Jo Dee Messina concert with Cameron :) We went to dinner at the Club House Grill before. The concert was at the Spirit Bank Center and very laid back. It was acoustic and she sounded really good. I'm not sure if she has new songs but I remember the popular ones she had when I was in junior high....and she played those! She also has a 12 week old baby who is on tour with her. It was kind of like a question answer session as well. You just raised your hand if you wanted to ask her something and the mic was passed to you. Pretty cool. Friday - I was pretty sore on Friday at the injection location of my shot.... My whole hip and bottom hurt..more than usual :( I also started Metformin Thursday night...and well, my stomach was trying to adjust ALL day friday. By the time Friday after work rolled around, I was in bed! The rain was NOT helping. Husband and brother went to work out. About 9pm they decided to go eat. Location? Texas Roadhouse. I could NOT turn that place down. I hadn't been in a while and it sounded pretty good. Matt & Sonya (family..probably seen in previous post) were at dinner and called wanting to meet up. They wanted to hear a band and people watch :) Well this took some convincing because I wanted to go get back in bed. We ended up going to a hole-in-the wall close by. To our surprise..a band from Fayetteville was playing. They are fun. Everyone pretty much thought I was Debbie Downer because I didn't have any cocktails nor dance...I just sat and was entertained. Hubby danced with Sonya. SO funny. I took videos and pics with Sonya's camera. Here are a few pics she emailed me :)

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with 3 bloggy friends! Megan, Emily & Lindsey and I had a wonderful lunch. Whitney was coming as well but something came up. Perhaps we will do it again soon! I too, was nervous at first..probably noticeably. That passed quickly because they were so friendly and easy to talk with! We all had a lot in common and blog talked too :) Here are a few pics..

Saturday Night - We went to a beautiful wedding!! There are a lot of pics I will post soon. In the meantime, here is a preview....

Sunday Afternoon - I had a bridal shower for a friend named Kristen. Her mom and my mother-in-law are BFF and I met her almost 7 years ago. Mother in law was in NYC and sister-in-law was in AZ so I came supporting the fam :) Here are a few pics I snapped..

Sunday Night - Hubby and I had a birthday dinner at Famous Dave's for our niece Ashtyn. I didn't have my camera so no pics were taken. It was fun though. We don't see her near enough!

Today is Monday and I'm one tired girl! What will keep me going this week.....

The thought of being here this time next week :) for 6 days...
