I thought I would post this in between my people party pics from Cameron's Birthday! Keep reading...I have a question!
COOL ME OFF PLEASE!!!! Last night I'm in the kitchen and feel hot air. I go to the thermostat and it says the house temp is 74 but set on 85. It was blowing HOT AIR. What in the world?!! We have finally made a move on getting our AC fixed. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before..but I HATE being HOT! We will have lived in this house two years at the end of the summer. It has never cooled very well. In the heat of the day, the sun hits 7 windows located on one side of our house. These windows are in the family room, breakfast nook & kitchen..also known as ONE BIG ROOM. So, I'm not sure if there is an insulation problem or what. Last summer, our AC quit a few times! My brother-in-law (who is a builder), sent a guy over each time to fix it. It just kept happening...and one time it happened when there were LOTS of people over...ex:Brent'sBrithday Party.. There is some switch on the panel in the attic that isn't coming on all the time...or goes off and all the time. The digital thermostat on the wall is also a pill. It has all these programmed settings and WILL not stay on what we put it on. ANYWAYS, my point of this story was WE HAVE INSURANCE for our AC. Thank goodness! So, we first had to call them and they call their AC company they use in town to come look at it. They call me this morning and say that someone will come between 10:30-2:30..well, hello..that is QUITE a span of time for a working woman! I ask if they can call. The lady says yes, but if I'm not here within 15 minutes of the call it will result in a missed visit and fee. Oh, lovely. We'll call me, I'll stay close by. Please hope they fix it or replace it!! (I'm sure none of you care about this but being a menopausal lady, all I think about is my temper if I'm not, haha)
****UPDATE on the AC - I was RIGHT! ...all along.. it was the digital, programmable thermostat on the wall INSIDE causing all the problems. The guy that came out was SO nice. He said there were 8 wires behind it and there only needed to be two. He said he had no clue as to why it was all re-wired wrong. He replaced the thermostat and did some things in the attic. He said we should be good to go. MY, how wonderful cool air feels! Maybe I can even sleep some now!
Learning from the Today Show ~ This morning, watched some of the Today Show. I learned a few things I have wondered about and thought I would share
*Re-financing rates are lower than they have been in 20 years!! If you can get your rate one percent lower than it is and are planning to stay in your home another two years, they say go for it! - We have really been thinking about this because our rate is pretty stinking high! We may also see about getting closing costs included. I'll update on what we figure out/decide.
*If you have a credit card and pay it off, DO NOT CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. This actually hurts your credit score by closing the account all together. The more credit you have, the better off you are. So, keep up with the account online (to make sure it stays safe and doesn't get fees), but just put the card away.
*Even things that are plugged in and turned off, still use electricity. So, by unplugging things you don't use often, you can save money each month and be more green. I had often wondered about this. I just didn't know if it would be thatbeneficial to unplug...but the Today Show says yes!
QUESTION FOR ALL OF YOU ~ I somewhat regret my blog address with the name and all. If I were to change it to www.inthiswonderfullife.blogspot.com, would that mess upeveryone's blogs and feeder thing that shows when I update? Does anyone know? I've had a few blogspot questions in the past and I have a hard time finding answers under their help section. Let me know if you know!! THANKS :)
Sweet Recognition :) ~ Finally, my wonderful mother-in-law just blogged a little post about me and herBF's daughter and my friend, Jessica. It is so very sweet! She is the photographer as I've mentioned before. She also has a fun blog called "Trippin with LSD"...her name is the LSD part :) Check it out here.
I promise not to keep you all waiting any longer for the 80's parties pics!! They will be posted tomorrow! How about another preview of what is to come!

yay for cool air!!!! i've been griping today because the hubby turns the air OFF every time he walks by! ummm, nothankyou. i may need to come stay with you guys and your COOL house if this continues. hah!
Well, what I would do is change this address to the new one, and then, when you do, this current address will INSTANTLY become available.
You then start a new blog using this address, and link to the new address.
Does that make sense?
It WILL mess up google reader, but it's better that you do it now as opposed to 3 months from now when you have even more readers.
I know this. I just started reading your blog, but I like you enough that I'll change the link on my blog, and I'm sure everyone else will as well :)
Also, I'm having a blog makeover giveaway, so if you're interested, stop by and enter!
Glad you got your AC fixed in time for summer.
You could just put a link to your new blog and tell everybody to update their google reader. If it will make you feel better go ahead and do it. Your readers will follow you! Can't wait to see your pics! Sorry about your AC problems. Our heater blows COLD air in the middle of the winter and it is so frustrating!
Love the pic! Too funny!!
So glad you were able to get your AC fixed. That is no fun. I HATE being hot too. It's the worst!
Yay! For getting the air fixed!
My advice would be to trasition into the new url address over like a week or so. You don't want to do it too fast. So I would make a small mention every post for a week or so, telling people your blog is moving. This way all your readers will have time to adjust their google reader.
And yay for cool air :)
I had to turn our AC on last night, it was 84. UGH!!
IF you change no worries, I will just re-add you!
i tagged you!
LOVE the pic, too fun!!!
First pic hysterical!
And ... Did you say 80's parties?!?!
ANDDD I love you even more now!
Thanks for all the sweet comments lately. They seriously make my day. :)
I love that first pic! That is so my dog's fave thing to do during the summer!!
Good thing you got your air fixed. I think that might've thrown me into a meltdown!
Just change your URL and tell us--we'll all change our feed readers for you!!! :)
