The Entertainment Book & Shot Update

Have you all seen this book for sale in your town? There are a few stores in my town (Borders, local shops, etc.) where I have seen it for sale but never bought one. The book is full of coupons for local places. It is now half off for 2009 and I just bought it!

It has coupons for about 135 places to eat in my town! I know you have heard me talk about the Garlic Rose. There is a coupon for it in there. So, when Brent and I do eat out, we can save some money :) There are also coupons for local acttractions too. I'll add the buttom below and on my sidebar.

You can type in you zip code and it will tell you which places in your area have coupons!



I can't believe this week is already half way over! Last night we went down the road to Brent's sister's house. We had dinner and just hung out. Our nieces are seriously SO FREAKING FUNNY! They are saying new things every day...and they crack me up!
They are so sweet and get so excited when we arrive. They flood us with hugs and kisses.

Just a little update on my shots and what not. I think things seem to be going pretty good.

I called my nurse today regarding a few concerns I had. She assured me I was on track as I should be. I also asked if I should continue to take the 50,000 IU (international units) of vitamin D because I only had one prescription pill left (I take it once a week. I also take it along with Actonel & Caltrate plus vitamin D. Yep, sure enough. I'll still be dosing up to keep my bones healthy! She said the 4th month is the last month I would take the Actonel because they wanted me to be off of it 5 months before trying to get pregnant. Of course, after hanging up I started thinking of more questions I want to ask. Why do I always think of things to ask when I am NOT in the doctor's office!? I will write things down this month! With her saying 5 months, I believe after I'm off the shots and coming out of menopause we will see how my body does getting back on a schedule and then begin trying. The goal is for me to be ovulating on my own. After the 6th shot, I will have an exam. The doctor will see if the cysts began to disappear while I was in menopause. He will also see if I have scar tissue from my surgery. If I do, I will have to have that removed. It will not be near as invasive as my last surgery. This waiting part is the toughest!!! My hot flashes have gotten better..or I have just adjusted! I think I am use to them and I finally just gave in and turned the AC on! My tummy doesn't get near as upset as it did the first six weeks. These are things I am so very thankful for! They also decdided not to put me on Metformin just yet. Since my system is shut down, it wouldn't do as much as it would if I were to have hormones flowing. Typically, someone getting the Lupron shots and going through menopause would gain weight. Since I have shown weight loss each month, they want to hold off of the Metformin(diabetes med to help my reproductive system process carbs and sugar). However, I have been managing on my own thus far. I have lowered my bad carb and sugar intake. I feel like that is a good thing! Less medication going in my body!
