Where to start!

Yesterday, my BFF, Katie, and her husband Erik found out they are having a baby GIRL! Today, they announced her name! Her name will be Molly Jane Mentzel. I absolutely love it! I think it fits perfectly in many ways. I've bought her a little something today and I have many fun blogs for her in the future..mostly pictures of when me and her momma were little girls. Katie, I also think we could arrange for the below to go somewhere in her room since her name will begin with a "M"..haha. Just tell her this was a fun weekend for her momma and she can come to her aunt Megan for pictures :) hehe.

Speaking of babies, this morning I went to see Kelly at the Children's Hospital. I did get to peak in at Harper :) She was a beeeeautiful sleeping baby! Kelly and I chatted in the waiting area for a little bit. The most exciting news is that Harper is getting to go home tomorrow!!! Several weeks in Tulsa and probably MILLIONS of prayers worked a miracle for the Stamps family. Kelly feels strong in her heart that Harper will be just fine and I agree! This story alone could give one faith...and it has! Kelly has had so many wonderful stories. I LOVE this picture Kelly posted today! I don't think she will mind me posting as she shares her sweet face with us.


When I was leaving the Children's Hopsital, I pulled out in front of the RMH (on a main 4 lane road) to find a truck driving fast in my direction. I noticed it was close to my lane and approaching a concrete median intended to split the lanes. He doesn't move over and heads right up on to the median and smashes into a sign! The sign and truck come FLYING at my car! I speed and swerve and then just stop. I look back and no one was behind or beside me...I had not hit anyone...thank God.. BUT the truck jumped back over to IT'S side of the road...the truck was STILL going! So I start to drive off leaving the shattered who knows what in the road..sign, his lights, etc. I call the police. The lady answers "911 - police, medical or fire?" - I tell her I believe police because there is an old truck that nearly smashed into me and ran up on a median and into a sign. She says okay and that she will transfer me. RING RING RING RING RING..I should do this for 40 times because that's how many times it rang before I hung up! I start crying thinking this guy is going to kill someone and the police won't even answer. I quickly call back. Same lady answers "911- police, medical or fire?" ..I say yes, I just called for police because there is a man that is going to kill someone driving and I let it ring 40 times and NO ONE answered. I am very upset right now and I think it is aboutsolutely terrible that no one answered.." maybe not exact words..but along the lines and very bitchy/angry tone..."hang on miss and I'll try again"....UM TRY AGAIN??? RING RING RING ....I should go 20 times! IT TOOK 2 calls and OVER 60 rings for someone to answer! This really disturbs me!!! I tell the lady what happened. I tell her what truck to look for where it happened and HOW upset I was! Wouldn't this make you mad?

The rest of my dad was pretty good. Instead of eating out for lunch today, I went to Macy's! They are having a sale where everything is 20% off if you wear red. I think this last until the 8th this month. Needless to say I painted my nails RED on the way to Macy's! I didn't really need anything but I thought I'd look instead of spend money on lunch. I came across the below(in RED). My friend Whitney carries these dishes in her store. I didn't know Macy's carried them and this one caught my eye as I was on the escalator! The sale sign is what I saw. It was on sale PLUS another 20% off. Normal price - $72. I think my total was a little over $43...not bad! You can bake with it and it's pretty. I texted Whitney..I told her and told her I'd buy some of the other pieces from her! I love polka dot everything :)



Last week, I decided to start trying to become more "green".I will do a post about that soon. I'm still working up my plan and details but I think one family at a time could make a difference! There are a few little methods I've got to figure out and places I must speak with.


I felt myself become more irritable at the end of today. I never feel that way but today I did. My tummy was crampy and I just felt crappy. Brent's mom was going to let me borrow a flash for my camera so instead of cleaning and cooking after work, I went over to see her. The flash she had in mind for me, did not want to work. So, she got online and bought me one. I love her...aka LSD Photography...it is catchy..say it aloud. LSD ..those are her initials! Anyways, we browsed the internet on the couch then watched American Idol and had a glass of wine.

I'm home now with husband. I have zero energy and he even cooked our dinner. My plate is just sitting getting cold bc I have no appetite. That is very unlike me so that sucks bc it is yummie food. Tomorrow morning I have my 2nd Lupron shot. Maybe my body knows this? Maybe the last one is wearing off or something? I don't think so but who knows.

At least the week is coming to an end :) Everyone loves a weekend!
