These are "thank yous" I really want to talk about..
Thank you to Sephora. If you don't have a Sephora make-up store, you should shop there online. We have one in in my town and it is my friend. I love going and finding new things. I've been using Lancome powder for a while. During the summer I decided to try out something new so I purchased some Doir powder (at Sephora). I LOVED the powder but looking back it seemed like the shade was too light for my skin. Next time, during winter, I went in and purchased some Smashbox powder. Instead of a typical powder compact, it was kind of creamy with a brush. I liked it except it was a little more work than I wanted to do and the brush brissels began to fall out, getting all over my counter and sticking to my face! I went into Sephora and they gave me a completly new compact. Wow, that was nice. Not to mention, my other one was a half way gone. I just told them I still didn't think the brush should mess up. After that compact, I went in the first weekend in January. I switched back to my good ole Lancome powder. Five days later, I got my first Lupron shot. The powder began to splotch and look TERRIBLE on my face. Well, due to the menopause, my skin changed! The powder was too oily. I go back to Sephora and explain this to them. They basically say "oh, no problem, pick something new!"...NICE..I didn't have to pay anything!..excpet a few more dollars for the price difference. So, I go back to the Dior because I really liked it and it was easy! One of the girls helped me pick a shade but the sample things were mixed up and not labled. I get home and after about a week, I'm thinking this is just too white on my face. It in pictures I looked like a ghost! So, I go back once again and they had no problem with me picking the right color! (They had also placed new samples that were labeled!) Another girl was just told me if this color wasn't right either, to come on back! I thought this was the nicest thing. True, I had to drive to the store several times. However I am pleased with what I've bought and the nice girls that work there!
Thank you Kendall Jackson. You have always been my favorite wine and I just can't get enough of you. You help me unwind and are so fine (haha I wanted to rhyme). You are located at every store in Tulsa and I'm thankful for that. You have gone up in price over the years so, I don't always drink you as my wine but you can hope that my husband goes to the store because he will always get it for me! After much google research, I've found that you are also one of the lowest-carb wines!
Thank you to this remote controller for making my laziness easy! Not completely lazy but difficulty you could call it. This might not be my exact one, but it is close. My dad brought it to me when I had surgery. I had put my Christmas tree up before he arrived. You plug the adapter into the electrical outlet and then you plug christmas tree..or whatever you want, right into it! It has a remote that you can hit on/off on. It is AWESOME. I have two little lamps on my mantle and to turn them off & on I must unplug/plug in (there switches are behind a picture). During the holidays, I had these lamps, plus garland with lights, and the Christmas tree. In less that one second, I could hit on or off across the room and turn all three things on or off! It is nice! I keep the lamps plugged in and I just love it. If you have any lamps or any applicances that aren't easy to turn off or on, you should try one of these!
Thank you to our local Food Pyramid for having the most deliciously fresh salom. I have been CRAVING salom non-stop. It has 0 carbs and is a good source of omego which I'm supposed to get a lot of each day. Food Pyramid's prices are way too high but this salmon isn't bad! I just put some lemon pepper seasoning with salt and peper on it. I bake it in the oven and it is SO good!
Thank you to my husband for bringing home this on Saturday! It is a LG 32" LCD TV! His brother purchased it one year ago and decided he wanted to upgrade as he just moved. It still had side stickers on it with no scratches and in great condition. He sold it to Brent for $350.00! It fit perfectly into our bedroom amoire were the current older, non-flat screen TV has been. True, we didn't really need to spend that on a TV but husband couldn't turn it down. We had been eyeing a 32" Vizio at Wal-Mart but it was more than $500.00 and is not as good of a brand as LG. I know some people aren't big on TV in the bedroom but we have always had one. It is easy for us to snuggle and watch movies or our favorite shows. We have big fluffy leather couches and sometimes we just want to get under our covers and not have to squeeze two bodies onto one couch :)
Thank you to my blog readers for all the sweet comments on the birthday post below...and every post really! You all are so nice! :)
happy & thankful ~ Megan :)
"Bye Elton, don't drink too much water. Well drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated but just not too much.." Brent (husband) talking to Elton (dog) as Elton was drinking water and Brent was walking at the door going to gym just now.
