Hello & Goodbye

As I've probably mentioned before, I decided not to talk politics too much on my blog. However, we did get a new President today! I thought the inauguration day went well. When Obama was walking out of the White House to see the people..and I mean ALL the people, I just smiled at the TV. I think that smile meant....please help our country, I think you have faith to do so, your family is cute, etc. The "Government" has always been a part of my life. My dad has worked for the US Government for 35 years. I've seen the good, the bad & the ugly. I believe each President has ups and downs. We can hope and pray for Obama!

I was able to see all the days events on TV. Then, I found some of the moments in pictures that I liked.

Great picture. Can you imagine watching your dad become President?

The Bush's preparing to leave.

Bye Laura & George. You will like spending more time in Texas. It is a good place as you probably remember.

Love this ~ @ the/a Ball

Beyonce sang "At Last" and it was beautiful!

This picture isn't from today but from the campaign trail. I like it!

God Bless ! ~ Megan

"Let it be told to the future world that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive, that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet it."

America, in the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words; with hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come; let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Thank you. God bless you.

(APPLAUSE)

And God bless the United States of America." ~ Barack Obama - Inaugural Address, 1.20.09

Oh, I'm so glad you found the story! I prayed over that blog b/c I didn't know if it was the appropriate time but I REALLY needed to hear a success story when I was going through that. I don't know Kelly or Brayden's mom? but I thought somehow this story could get back to them. Thank you for commenting!
