You will reimburse me for being short?

So I had been thinking that after a week of chilly weather (a week or two ago) that I wanted some new comfy lounging pants. I just wanted some pants I can hang around the house in when I'm not working or after work. Something that did not require heels of course since a large amount of my time is already spent wearing a 3"request for foot surgery.

There was about a 3 day battle between me and my head who wanted to go ahead and purchase a black Juicy jumpsuit. However, I am actually being smart and saving my money for New York. After I made this decision, the next day in the mail I got a flyer/coupon type thing from Express. I don't ever really think to go there unless I need some button-ups for work or something.

These are the bottoms

This is the top. Hard to see, but there is a little rhinestone on the zipper.

So, I try them on. I try two different sizes. The first size is somewhat big...saggy in the crotch about about 4 inches too long in the legs.. I try the smaller size on. The girl in the dressing room says oh definitely get the smaller size because they will stretch out. She even told me they had a lot of people wanting to return last year after that got saggy bottom. I told her I'd go home and wear them around. Well, wore them for about 2 nights around the house..about 8 hours. I looked like Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls when she was tricked into going on the high carb diet and got a lumpy butt. It was not good. So, I go BACK to Express to exchange. I tell them I think in the long run, I'd be better off going up a size. Then, the guy checking me out says, "go get them hemmed and bring us the receipt..we will pay up to $7.50 a pair." Yep, you got it..they will PAY me to alter the pants to fit as I need. That is pretty awesome! Someone appreciates a short person :)...or feels sorry for us!

Speaking of carbs...I'm supposed to be doing a low carb lifestyle. I didn't say diet either. I'm supposed to just alter my eating habits. It isn't working so good quite yet. It will though. For health purposes, I must do what the doctor says. I also want to get better about putting recipes and meal pics on here. I have a few friends that are so good at it!

Carpe Diem - Megan

"Of course, I have a set of things I want to achieve. But I also don't like to think too far ahead because then you stop paying attention to your life. It's more important to me to make sure I'm being a good friend, a good co-worker, a good daughter. The important thing is to be happy every day." ~Sophia Bush, Health Magazine 10.08
